By Jessica Hanses
Hello! My name is Jessica Hanses. I have been with Webster University’s Online Learning Center for over two years and am super excited about my new position as a Student Success Coach on the Student Services team. My experience with Webster began as an undergraduate where I pursued Bachelors’ degrees in Sociology and International Studies and continued as I went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Media Literacy.
The Student Success Coach is a brand new position to Webster and we are all very excited about the ongoing potential and ingenuity it brings. In my new role, I serve as a main point of contact for an assigned group of metro and military campuses’ online students (Florida, Georgia and South Carolina). The resources I provide will inevitably lead to even more self-motivated and empowered student success stories.
I am proud to have worked in several educational environments, from early childhood to adult, prior to joining the Online Learning Center. I have been an Adult ESOL and Literacy instructor for a number of years, a youth mentor for Discovering Options, and most recently, an educational aide promoting immersive and inclusive practices while welcoming refugees and immigrants to the St. Louis area by way of the International Institute of Saint Louis. I am committed to helping individuals succeed.
