The 45th Anniversary of Earth Day is April 22, 2015. For over four decades, people from around the globe have come together to participate in environmental activities and celebrations. This year’s theme is “It’s Our Turn to LeadTM” and here at Webster U Online, we think our students are taking the lead by enrolling in online courses as a great way to “Go Green.” Here are a few ways that our students are helping the environment by taking online courses:
- No gas is consumed driving to class because online students study and learn from the comfort of home.
- Trees are saved by writing papers on the computer and submitting digitally so less paper is consumed. Some courses even have digital textbooks which would reduce the amount of trees destroyed even more.
- Energy usage in the form of electricity and gas are reduced because the school doesn’t have to maintain a classroom for online students.
